WICE Logistics Joins Forces with BMA to Collect Over 5 Tons of Floating Waste, Restoring the Chao Phraya River

22 Dec 2025

WICE Logistics Public Company Limited, in collaboration with the Department of Environment of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), held the “Go Green with WICE – The Ocean Clean Up 2025” activity on December 20th, 2025, under the concept of CSR In Process, aiming to address floating waste issues and restore aquatic ecosystems in a tangible way.

The area of operation covers from Krung Thon Bridge (Sang Hi) to Somdet Phra Pinklao Bridge, consisting of approximately 5.9 kilometers. With support from Fiber Glass boats provided by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and the cooperation of the company’s volunteer employees, the initiative successfully collected no less than 5 tons of floating waste, reducing the risk of debris flowing into the sea and causing long-term impacts on marine life and ecosystems.

In addition, the activity contributed to the conservation of biodiversity in the Chao Phraya River, which serves as a habitat and food source for a wide variety of aquatic life. Reducing floating waste helps prevent waterway blockages, increases oxygen levels, and lowers the risk of aquatic animals ingesting waste or being exposed to contaminants. These efforts support the balance of the food chain and the long-term recovery of the ecosystem.

As a logistics service provider, the company recognizes its responsibility toward water resources. This activity therefore integrates environmental and biodiversity dimensions into its business operations, while also providing opportunities for employees and their families to participate, helping to pass on a healthier environment to future generations in a truly sustainable way.
